Jimbaran Beach
The long, calm crescent of sand that gives the bay its reputation — gentle water for swimming by day and a front-row seat for the sunset by evening.
In Jimbaran
A guide to the quiet crescent of sand south of the airport — its beaches, seafood dinners on the sand and temple sunsets — and where to stay while you are here.
Key reasons
Staying in Jimbaran gives you a peaceful beachside escape at a slower pace — famous seafood dinners on the sand, a handful of fine-dining restaurants and quick access to the airport. The bay sits on the neck of the Bukit Peninsula, between the airport and the clifftops of Uluwatu.
Days here move at the pace of the bay: an early swim, a long lunch, and a table on the sand as the sky turns orange. It is an easy base for families and groups — our three villas in Jimbaran are a short drive from each other.

Practical
Drive times from Jimbaran, depending on traffic. Private airport transfers and a car with driver can be arranged by the villa team.
Bali is warm all year. The dry season, roughly April to October, brings sunny days and the clearest sunsets over the ocean — July and August are the busiest months.
The wet season, roughly November to March, means short tropical showers, greener landscapes and quieter beaches — a good time for a private villa with its own pool.
FAQ
Yes — especially if you want a calmer base. Jimbaran has a long, swimmable beach, famous sunset seafood dinners, and it sits between the airport and Uluwatu, so the south of Bali is within easy reach without the crowds of Kuta or Seminyak.
Jimbaran is just south of Ngurah Rai International Airport — usually around 15 to 20 minutes by car, depending on traffic. A private airport transfer can be arranged for your stay.
Jimbaran Bay is known for its generally calm water, which makes it one of the better swimming beaches in the south of Bali. As anywhere, check the conditions and any flags on the day.
The seafood cafés on the sand along Jimbaran Bay — from Kedonganan in the north to Muaya in the south — are the classic choice. For sunset drinks with a view, Rock Bar Bali is a short drive away.
Seminyak is livelier with more shopping and nightlife; Uluwatu is known for clifftop views and surf. Jimbaran sits in between: quieter, with an easy beach and short drives to both Uluwatu and the airport — a good fit for families, groups and slower holidays.
Yes. The calm beach, relaxed pace and short airport transfer make it easy with children, and private villas with their own pool give families space to spread out.
